Our Cabernet Sauvignon grapes are grown in an agricultural preserve alongside grazing longhorn cattle on a steep hillside vineyard. The elevation of the vineyard, perhaps the highest in the Paso Robles appellation, allows unobstructed cooling by the on- shore Pacific afternoon breezes. The vines and berries love to be cool after the heat of the day. And at harvest they yield slowly developed flavors and full fruit ripeness.
Sustainable production, placing quality ahead of quantity, lightly irrigated limestone soils, and low yield speaks to our philosophy of natural wine production.
Friends and family have been enjoying our home made wine since 1999. Now at their urging it is time to allow others to enjoy this favorite wine. It had taken years to know and understand the terroir and feel confident of our ability, always with Nature’s grace, to produce a consistent yearly crop.
And so our first production wine became available in late 2007. After ageing in oak for two years the estate grown, hand harvested, artisanal produced 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon was released.
