Barrel Notes on 2006 Vintage
Recent barrel tasting of the 2006 vintage show that the wine is developing very nicely. It is on schedule and maturing correctly. Fermentation is now complete, color is deep purple, and the tannins are soft. The nose is plush fruity, with cherry scents, and the finish is intermediate without harshness. As expected it needs more time in oak to make an excellent wine.
